New York Fishing Trip

Well folks, just finished up our trip to Fairhaven New York for brown trout. The weather was perfect. 50-70 degrees with only one day of rain that lasted about 3 hours on Saturday. Enough rain to bring in 2 nice brownies for Jason who was brave enough to weather the storm while we napped like all fair weather fisherman do. Jason also landed the 1 and only brown trout on the first day so fishing was not the best. Jason and I referred to ourselves as Team Tom, while Greg and Timmy were Team Tim. Needless to say we came out on top due to the awesome experience and expertise of Jason a.k.a J-Rock!

Timmy took his boat up to New York and on Saturday he and Greg left me on a rock pile to test the waters while Jason was in his Hobie doing his thing.

In a last desperate attempt while leaving camp for good, Greg jumped out of his truck and casted into the pond to land a nice Pike thus inspiring the rest of us to do the same. Jason hooked me up as my Pike guide, offered his fancy smancy pole and lure and taught me the technic for Pike. Within minutes I had a follow up then landed one shortly after with two more follow ups. Greg caught another one and I think Timmy did too.

Not the greatest of fishing but overall a great trip with the boys hanging by the campfire at night smoking cigars and trying our luck with bullheads and rock bass to no avail.
